Whirlwind!!

Colby, KS

Morning to you all,

😁 I can’t believe May is almost over and we will soon be half a year in, geez! I don’t know about you all, but we have been caught up in this whirlwind of time just flying by. The store, if you recall, called Brewing Up Words has been keeping us busy. No one told me how much tears and sweat goes into owning your own business was, not that I still would not have done it. It just makes me appreciate how far we have come with it. The local support has been so wonderful, we are truly thankful for the opportunity to be part of this community. On top of that we moved houses in the middle of all that chaos. It has been “interesting”in my household for lack of better words. I haven’t even had a chance to promote my new book out, which I feel terrible about, because I put a lot of time and effort into it. It’s my baby just as my first book was as well. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t forget about it, I love this book as much as my first book, I just somehow managed to selfishly love it, and have not properly shared it with the world. On that note, please check it out, read it, share it and tell me what you think. It’s called Taquito, Juan, and Churro Make A Friend. It is a cute story about unexpected friendships, and patience. You will see some characters from My Aunt Flor, as well as some Spanish words too.

If you’re still here reading this with me, after my guilty rant, thank you for sticking with me. Quick update, I wanted to share that I am excited to be part of the Kansas Book Festival this year! I will post dates for that soon, it will be in Topeka, KS. I will also be part of The Kansas Book Fest West which will be hosted by Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS this September. I look forward to meeting some of you in person, as well as many new and established talented authors. I learn so much from every event I get to do, and look forward to this one that's close to home. 🏡 Please note that I am still here working hard on bringing you more stories, and some of my own personal shenanigans. Thank you very much for your continued support. To quote My Aunt Flor-"dream big, because dreams can come true! "
